Redesigned File Connector Setup – Easier Navigation, Faster Configuration

We've completely redesigned how you configure file connectors, making it faster and more intuitive to set up sources from S3, Google Drive, Azure, and other file systems.

This redesign addresses feedback we heard from users struggling with deeply nested folder structures and unclear configuration options. Setting up file sources with complex filtering requirements is now significantly faster.

What's improved

New folder browser Navigate large directory structures with a breadcrumb-style browser that replaces the old tree view. Use search, direct path input, or click through columns to find folders quickly.

When editing a file source, we now automatically show you the previously selected folder instead of forcing you to navigate from root every time.

All configuration in one place File filters (date-based, whitelist/blacklist patterns) have moved from the sidebar into the main flow. Everything you need is visible at once.

Coming Soon: We're working on intelligent guidance for whitelist/blacklist path patterns to help you configure file filters with confidence.

Clearer file parsing options The file parser selector has been redesigned with "Skip File Parsing" now available as a prominent checkbox option.

These enhancements are part of our ongoing effort to make each interaction in Nexla faster and more intuitive, and we'd love to hear your feedback as we continue improving the platform experience.
