Nexla's newest update brings enhanced data flow creation features, along with a streamlined self-signup process for new users.

💡 Data Flow Types
Now, when creating a new data flow, users can select from several pre-built flow-type templates, including FlexFlow, Replication, Spark ETL, and DB-CDC, all listed in the flow type selection screen. 

• FlexFlow: All-in-one flow type that facilitates seamless data movement & supports multiple destinations, data transformations, and both streaming and real-time data flows
• Replication: Designed for rapidly moving unmodified files between storage systems when both speed and file structure retention are critical
• Spark ETL: Customized for transferring and modifying big-data workloads stored in cloud databases or Databricks
• DB-CDC: Uses change data capture (CDC) to replicate tables across databases and/or cloud warehouses

With the new self-signup process, anyone can easily sign up for a Nexla trial to experience how the powerful Nexla platform can enhance your data workflow!

To sign up for a trial account, simply click the Sign Up button at the bottom of the login screen, and enter your information.

Create Nexsets using SQL query-based transforms. Generate output data based on complex aggregations across input records.

With the new Transform: Aggregate rule type now available in the Nexset Designer, transform rules that are applied across multiple records in a Nexset can now be created with SQL queries.

Transform: Aggregate rules allow users to easily create and apply transforms that aggregate records according to attribute values directly in Nexla. Typically these operations require storing raw records in a relational database or warehouse where users then run their SQL queries. But with this new capability in Nexla users can save time and money by  performing these SQL queries while the records are in flight.

Record-aggregation transforms can be applied to produce output data for reporting, analytics, notifications, and more. These transforms can be customized for any dataset, workflow, or use case.

Additionally, with branched data flows in Nexla, multiple transforms can be individually applied to a single Nexset, creating parallel streams to deliver both record aggregations and transformed data to downstream destinations in a single flow.

Generative AI integration is now available in Nexla! 

Meaningful resource documentation enables efficient data operations—it allows users to better understand and apply resources and provides important information for triaging data flows. 

By integrating your OpenAI or Google AI account with Nexla, you can empower your organization's users to easily generate thorough documentation for Nexsets and data flows with the click of a button. 

Enabling GenAI integration in Nexla only requires a one-time setup process that can be completed by an organization administrator within minutes. Once integration is activated, all users in the organization will be able to efficiently add thorough AI-generated documentation to Nexsets and data flows.

With Nexla's new powerful and flexible API-powered search interface, customers can quickly and easily locate any resources or data of interest, no matter how many resources are in the user's account.

The search interface is available in screens in the Integrate and Discover sections.

In the search interface, users can apply filters using keywords and assigned values to rapidly identify individual resources or groups of resources. Queries can include keywords corresponding to resource parameters including the name, description, connector type, current activity status, tags, and many more.

📢 Highlights:

• Queries of Any Complexity – Combine keywords to create resource queries as targeted or broad as needed for any use case.
• Paginated Results – Resource lists are now paginated for faster loading and efficient navigation.
• Bookmark & Share Queries – When a query is performed, the URL is updated to include all applied filters. Bookmark this URL to quickly access the query again later without re-entering the search terms, or share the URL with other users.
• Nexsets by Attributes – Use the attr_name keyword in the Nexsets and Discover screens to locate all Nexsets containing a particular attribute.

Here's a look at what users will find in each section of the new Nexla UI:

• Overview: The first screen shown after login displays at-a-glance statistics and flow information about the user's account. From here, links allow users to dive deeper into details or jump directly into an associated task.
• Integrate: This section is the hub for creating and modifying data flows. Easily ingest, transform, and send data from anywhere to anywhere, all in one place.
• Discover: Here, users can find all accessible Nexsets. Nexsets are now searchable, giving users a quick and efficient way to find and use any needed data.
• Collaborate: The Nexla platform provides granular access controls for every data flow and component. Now, the Collaborate section makes understanding and managing these accesses simple.
• Monitor: All of Nexla's robust monitoring information and functions can be accessed in this section. Users can complete any troubleshooting or governance task directly within the screens available in the Monitor section.

• Efficiency & Ease of Use – With this new layout you can quickly locate and access all information and features you need for any workflow. Left-hand navigation has been upgraded to focus on what you need most: to build, discover, collaborate, govern, and monitor your data flows and data products.
• Streamlined Monitoring Processes – All of Nexla’s data flow monitoring information and functions can now be accessed from the Monitor section. Users can conduct any governance or troubleshooting task directly within the screens available in the Monitor section.

The AWS Selling Partner API is now available as a REST API connector in Nexla! This expands Nexla's previous connector support for AWS Selling Partner API connections to include AWS Signature authentication, rate limit-handling features, and the ability to connect to any AWS Selling Partner API endpoint.

A new user access role, "Operator", is now available in Nexla.

Users with Operator-level access to a data flow can pause and/or activate the resources—such as the source, Nexset(s), and destination(s)—included in the flow. Operators also have all permissions granted to Collaborators, including the ability to view all information about the flow resources and use them in other flows and/or Nexsets.

When sharing a data flow with another user using the Access tab of the Data Flow Information screen, the Operator access role can be assigned to the recipient by simply selecting the "Operator" option from the pulldown menu before granting access.

With our latest product update, Nexla provides flow metrics, processing logs, and error insights during data flow creation and execution. 

Users can easily monitor the progress of each component of a data flow, know the number of records processed by each component, and visualize detailed processing logs of each component - all on one screen. Additionally, users can also view component-level metrics and logs for previous runs. 

Flow logs also contain relevant error logs, so when an error occurs in any step of a data flow, users can now easily troubleshoot their data flows by using a combination of flow logs, error data feed, error notifications, and error metrics.
